has partnered with Wayne State University (WSU)
to provide a free bus pass to all on-campus
student residents. The WSU Student Fare Pass
is a 30-day card valid throughout the month of
September offering unlimited rides. Students
must present their pass and student I.D. cards
when boarding DDOT coaches.
This pilot program is being offered as a way to get
students familiar with riding the city bus system.
Once the success of this pilot is assessed, continued
partnerships of this kind will be determined.
We hope that students will take advantage of the
WSU Student Fare Pass and all of the benefits
that public transportation offers. Our services
are an economical way to travel to and from
work, school and recreation. DDOT’s services also
provide cleaner air and allows texting, reading
or dozing during your commute. Our buses also
have bike racks to enhance the convenience to
our customers. We look forward to transporting
