Employee Recognition for CCP
Part I (Applies to all CCP employees except the SDS direct service staff)
The intention of this part of the proposal of staff recognition is to recognize every staff at some
point throughout the year to build a sense of belonging and inclusion and to let each staff know
that CCP appreciates all of our staff.
Every year each staff will also receive a hand written, CCP logo employment anniversary card
signed by his/her management team.
Also, on the anniversaries listed below, the staff will receive a certificate and the stated bonus on
their pay check (HR will notify payroll as these anniversaries happen). These staff will also be
honored in a column in the CCP newsletter.
5 year - $100
10 year - $200
15 year - $300
20 year - $400
Etc.
Part II (Applies to all CCP employees except the SDS direct service staff)
Supervisors will send a card to staff as we hear about family births, deaths or other major life
events (hospital stays, serious illness, educational achievements, marriages, etc).
CCP will endeavor to not miss any of these very meaningful staff events but recognizing that the
due to the nature of our workforce being spread out in a variety of work settings we may miss
some so would like to apologize up front if any event is missed.

Part III (Applies as noted after each section)
The intended reason for this part of the plan is to encourage staff growth and development.
Section A – for Home Based Services (direct service staff and managers)
The driving force of this program is to catch staff doing something Above and Beyond – focused
on the consumer – and to then give an immediate positive reward. Tasks like balancing a
checkbook of completing a form are basic job expectations and would not be considered an
“above and beyond” event.
Whenever a supervisor catches his or her staff doing something that is Above and Beyond, the
employee should be given verbal recognition and also may be rewarded a Kudo. The reward is
always one Kudo, but the verbal recognition can be as small or large as appropriate, based on the
situation or staff.
With each Kudo given, the supervisor giving it will record on the back of the Kudo the staff’s
name, date, brief description of the event and sign it.
Staff can redeem Kudos for the following items:
A pair of movie tickets to AMC Theaters – 7 Kudos
$20 giftcard (from but not limited to: Rainbow, Best Buy, Target, Borders Books,
SuperAmerica, Starbucks) – 10 Kudos
Kudos will be redeemed with the staff’s HR representative. The HR representative will record
this positive redemption of Kudos in the staff’s personnel file.
Staff are responsible for their Kudos. Lost Kudos will not be replaced.
CCP Home Based Services will also recognize National DSP Week (typically in September) and
Supervisors will mail out signed cards to all DSP staff in recognition of their services.
Section B – for Employment Services (direct service staff)
In the long standing tradition of the Employment Services division of CCP, we will continue to
pass out staff recognition once a year based on the criteria used on the staff evaluation. These
criteria demonstrate the staff’s consistent commitment to going Above and Beyond in providing
service.
Those staff who receive a Level 2 rating on their annual evaluation will receive a $100 bonus on
their pay check. Those staff who receive a Level 1 rating on their annual evaluation, by going
above and beyond their job expectations, will receive a $200 bonus on their pay check.

Section C – for administrative staff, case management and other support staff
This part is still in development.
Part IV
The intended reason for this part of the plan is to reward our direct care staff who continually
perform above the standard job expectations.
Each of the 5 segments of CCP will have a Staff of the Month. The segments are the 4 divisions
of Home Based Services and Employment Services. Each of these 5 groups will select a staff of
the month based on the stories managers/staff/family members/team members tell about the great
things our staff have done.
In order to recognize as many different staff as possible, we unfortunately limit staff to being
Staff of the Month only once each year.
The 5 Staff of the Month winners will be each awarded by their OD and/or Manager a $25 gift
card and CCP logo thermos. Each of these winners will be recognized in CCP’s quarterly
newsletter.
The OD’s from Employment Services will then determine a Staff of the Year from their 12 Staff
of the Month recipients. The OD’s from Home Based Services will also determine a Staff of the
Year from their 48 Staff of he Month recipients as well as selecting a recipient for the Bob
Gienger – All Around Great Staff Award.
These 3 recipients will be awarded a $500 bonus on their pay check, an award statue and an
article in the CCP newsletter.
Part V
The Self Directed Supports division of CCP is not included in any of the above parts. Any
recognition an SDS family would like to have must be written into their plan.
