Application Process
1. An electronic application must be submitted via TTBizLink (www.ttbizlink.gov.tt).
2. TTBizLink will route the application to the relevant Authorised Organisation (AO).
For example, the Business Development Company Limited issues COs for goods
to be exported to countries with which Trinidad and Tobago has Free Trade
Agreements and CARICOM. These countries include:
- Cuba
- Costa Rica
- Dominican Republic
- Venezuela
- Columbia
- CARICOM Member States
(Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada,
Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Vincent and the Grenadines,
St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and Suriname)
The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce issues COs for countries
with which Trinidad and Tobago has no Free Trade Agreements.
The Customs and Excise Division issues COs for goods to be exported to Europe and the USA. COs
for these countries cannot be submitted via TTBizLink at this time.
3. The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
I. Export License (if needed)
II. CARICOM Invoice
III. Item List
IV. Customs Declaration Form (C82)
4. The approving agency will receive the application.
5. The agency will verify the application and approve the application once all the
requisite documents are received.
6. Notification of the approval will be sent to the applicant via e-mail and SMS.
7. Payment can be made in the following ways
I. At the Business Development Co:
II. At the Chamber of Commerce:
LINX, Credit Card, At any branch of First Citizen’s
Bank via Account Number 1502231
Cash, LINX, Credit Card, Cheque
8. Proof of payment submitted to the AO upon collection of approved CO.
