maintaining the integrity of academic work at the College. Plagiarism or any misrepresentation
[Eicher / Syllabus] 2
of work, unsanctioned collaboration, use of prohibited materials, and participation in any form of
dishonesty all constitute violation of this policy. Academic dishonesty of any kind may result in
a verbal or written warning from the instructor, a reduction in class grade, failure of the course,
or dismissal from the college: http://www.delta.edu/english/integrityofacademicwork.aspx
CLASSROOM CIVILITY
Be respectful, interested, and actively engaged in class. Do not use computers when the class is
engaged in other activities. Avoid late arrival, early departure, side conversations and cell phone
interruptions, as they distract others from learning. Students who engage disruptive behaviors
may removed from the classroom under Delta's Disruptive Students policy.
EMAIL GUIDELINES
Email should be sent from your Delta account. To ensure a timely response:
● Begin with an appropriate salutation like “Dear Mrs. Eicher” or “Hello, Bethany.”
● Use your best grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
● Include a subject line that lists your class and section, as well as a brief description of the
content of the email (Eng112A - FA860 Homework question).
● Sign your first and last name.
I will respond to email during business hours Monday - Friday. Assume that it may be 24 hours
before you get a response to an email.
TURNITIN.COM
Students agree that by taking this course all required work may be submitted for textual
similarity review to Turnitin.com for the detection of plagiarism. Submitted papers will be
included as source documents in the Turnitin.com reference database solely for the purpose of
