How to Complete a Transient Form
UCF REGIONAL CAMPUSES VIRTUAL ORIENTATION
PURPOSE OF A TRANSIENT FORM: determine if classes at another institution will transfer to your UCF program
BEFORE you take them.
CREATE A TRANSIENT STUDENT ADMISSION APPLICATION
1. Go to Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC) at: http://www.flvc.org
2. Select “Apply” from the top of the page and click on “Transient Student Admission Application”
3. Log in with your FLVC Login ID and Password (it’s the same as your FACTS.org user name if you have used
FACTS.org before; if not, create your new account)
4. Log in to your home institution. Select UCF and login using your UCF PID and PID password. Click
“continue”
5. If you have never submitted an application before, you will be prompted to input data into a new
application. If you have submitted one before, your previously submitted applications will be listed on the
left side. To create a new application click “New Application”. Your personal information (name, address,
etc.) will auto-populate the application
6. Complete all fields with an asterisk, *
7. Include your Knights Email address to receive notification when your advisor signs your application and
when the application process is complete
8. Choose the Host Institution where you will attend as a transient student
9. Choose the Term and Year you will attend
10. Refer to the Host Institution course catalog for Prefix, Number, Hours, and Course Title
11. Select “Use of the Course”. This may be overridden by your Advisor
12. Check for accuracy and make changes where appropriate before submitting the application
13. Click “Send” one time only. It may take up to 30 seconds to complete processing
CHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR TRANSIENT STUDENT ADMISSION APPLICATION

Go to FLVC: http://www.flvc.org
Follow Student Services> College Transfer Center> Transient Student Admission Application
Log in with your FLVC Login ID and Password
Log in to your home institution. Select UCF and login using your UCF PID and PID password. Click
“continue”
5. Submitted applications will be listed in a column on the left side with the “Submitted on Date” and the
current status of the application: In Progress, Completed, Cancelled, Not Approved, or No Action See

FOR FINANCIAL AID PURPOSES, YOU MUST ALSO MAKE SURE TO:

Print and fill out the Transient Enrollment Forms located at http://finaid.ucf.edu/forms/forms/
transient0304.pdf
o Turn in the “Transient Form for Financial Aid” to UCF’s financial aid office on your campus
o Turn in the “Consortium Agreement” to the host institution’s financial aid office
Provide a copy of your “Fee Invoice and Class Schedule” from the Host institution to UCF’s financial aid
office on your campus
Print and provide to UCF’s financial aid office on your campus a “Confirmation of Advisor Authorization”
(obtained from www.FLVC.org)
Send an official transcript to UCF once the transient course is completed.
