Partnership Paves Way to “Best of Biz”
Mount Laurel, NJ – Drexel University at Burlington County College (BCC) was recognized in the
August issue of South Jersey Biz magazine for having the best cooperative education in the region. The
Drexel at BCC program was an editor’s pick in the magazine’s third annual “Best of Biz” feature.
“The Drexel at BCC partnership is something we have been incredibly proud of since its beginning seven
years ago,” said BCC’s Provost Dr. David Spang. “With Drexel, our first on-site partner, we paved the
way to an affordable and convenient bachelor’s degree for BCC students in South Jersey. Our students are
able to participate in their excellent cooperative education programs and start building a professional
portfolio while earning the same exact Drexel degree for a significantly lower cost.”
Bernetta Millonde, program director of Drexel at BCC, said “Drexel has one of the oldest and renowned
cooperative education programs in the country. We are proud of our role in preparing Drexel at BCC
students for success in the workforce and for being a conduit for employers to gain access to our students
who are energetic, driven and well-equipped to make a contribution to their workplace.”
BCC and Drexel formed an academic partnership in 2006 to give students the opportunity to earn a
bachelor's of science degree from Drexel entirely on BCC’s Mount Laurel campus. Students can complete
their first two years at BCC and then seamlessly transfer their credits into one of 10 Drexel programs:
