JUST POSTED! Ted’s BULLETIN Appoints New Pastry Chef
As his first order of business Todd Miller Unveils New Pastry Menu at 14th St
Washington, D.C. [June 5, 2014]— matchboxfoodgroup is excited to announce the appointment
of Todd Miller as executive pastry chef of for the group’s fast growing family restaurant Ted’s
BULLETIN.
Famous for house made pop-tarts, seasonal pies and frothy (sometimes boozy) milkshakes, Miller
recently expanded the brand’s bakery selections, adding his own twists to American classics.
New editions include a decadent double chocolate devil’s food cake, four layer carrot cake,
‘mile-high’ pies including chocolate cream and banana cream, butterscotch pudding, a
traditional banana split and snoballs. Desserts range from $6-9 and are currently offered at the
14th St location, but will be available at all locations soon.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Miller has made a name for himself working in a
variety of kitchens including corporate, hotel, mom-and-pop shops and most recently a popular
cupcakery with two locations in DC. As executive pastry chef for Hello Cupcake, Miller
produced and decorated the trendy treat with natural ingredients, including his wildly popular
red icing made from reduced strawberry puree. During his tenure Miller also taught classes
designed for the home cook anxious to learn the art of making cupcakes.
At Ted’s, Miller plans to change the bakery options seasonally with unique cakes, pies & more.

Ted’s BULLETIN is open Sunday-Thursday from 7:00am – 9:30pm, Friday & Saturday from 7:00am –
10:30pm and breakfast is available all day.

matchbox is an American bistro, famous for their delicious mini-burgers piled with onion straws
and the wood fired pizza, the first of which opened in 2003 in Washington DC’s Chinatown,
followed by locations in Palm Springs, CA, Capitol Hill, Rockville, MD, 14th Street NW, in DC and
Mosaic District in Merrifield, VA.
Ted’s BULLETIN, a family restaurant, inspired by Ty and Mark’s father, was the second concept
from the group, opening in 2010 on Capitol Hill, on 14th Street in 2013, and in Virginia’s Reston
Town Center in January 2014. In the next few years the group plans to expand the concept
further with locations in Ashburn, Virginia and Gaithersburg, Maryland. Ted’s re-imagines a 1920’s
diner and serves nostalgic American fare. The group plans to expand further into Virginia next at
the Mosaic District in Merrifield.
DC-3 captures the spirit of the American hot-dog, offering variations on classics found all over
the country. DC-3 is located on Capitol Hill and has proudly served the people of Washington
since 2010.
