UAB Nurse Anesthesia Program Facts
UAB Nurse Anesthesia Students:



Take a Gross Anatomy course that includes cadaver dissection
Attend annual Association meetings
Participate in simulation experiences beginning their second semester. Simulation experiences
include such activities as:
o Induction of general anesthesia
o Emergence from a general anesthetic
o Arterial line and central line placement
o Airway management
o Spinal and epidural insertion
o Crisis management in the Operating Room
Attrition Rate is approximately 10% per year.
