Students!
Blackboard is LIVE! Head on over to http://classes.emory.edu and log in using your Emory username and password (the same information you
use to log into OPUS). When you log in you’ll be greeted with a page like the one below:
Have a look around the landing page, watch the Orientation welcome video and start to complete the items on the checklist (which you can find at
the top right of the page.)
You have also been enrolled in the PACE Orientation Summer 2012 Course. In this course we’ll start to give you information regarding
academics at Emory. Each Unit is short and should only take you around 15-20 minutes or so to complete. Here’s what you can find in the
courseGeneral Course Announcements and Updates – including the sign up for our Webinar Wednesday series. Sign-up for our first webinarResidence Life and Housing on 27th June – is now open!
PACE Unit A includes some background information on ‘PACE’, Placement Test Information for some of the language courses at Emory
and the GCAT- the General Chemistry Assessment Tool. The GCAT is a pre-cursor for enrollment in CHEM 141 in the Fall. (The tests can
take a little time so be sure to set aside enough time to complete the tests you wish to)
You have access to discussion boards inside the PACE Course. Our Orientation Captains will be checking in, answering your questions and
getting to know you. Try to take advantage of this resource. It’s a great place to ask questions and get answers from staff and current
students.
While all of our content works with most browsers, users of Internet Explorer will be presented with the following message.
If you select “Yes” as the answer you will not be able to view content hosted outside of Blackboard- including the Welcome Video and the
Webinar Sign-Up. If you select “No” all of the content will display correctly.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at ecorientation@learnlink.emory.edu
Best wishes,
