SUMMER 2015
The World IN PARIS
Come live and study in Paris this summer
and discover the world.
Our intensive curriculum features Paris as its classroom, and embodies AUP life in its most concentrated
form. You will encounter students and faculty from many nationalities, controversial ideas, and lively
discussions. Picture yourself debating current events with your professor in a Parisian sidewalk café.
6-WEEK SESSION
Come spend the best part of your summer at The
American University of Paris, living and studying in one of
the world’s most remarkable cities! Located in the heart
of Paris, AUP is the academic and social home to students
from around the world—and has been for fifty years. As the
premier English-language university in France offering a
fully US-accredited liberal arts curriculum, AUP provides a
summer academic experience that is truly unique. Courses
are exciting, relevant, and often incorporate the city of
Paris into the learning experience; students learn in its
museums, paint in its streets, study the multi-ethnic world
of contemporary French life, and immerse themselves in
European culture. You may choose from 6-week courses or
3-week intensive sessions. In each case you have the option
of taking the course for university credit to transfer back to
your home institution.

Immerse yourself in the French language while reveling in Parisian culture. Twice each summer, AUP offers carefully crafted,
three-week, intensive French programs. Taught by native-speaking professors in small classes of five to ten students, the
program offers an excellent opportunity to refine your pronunciation, build your vocabulary, and improve your grasp of
French grammar, all the while immersing yourself in French culture. You will be tested at the beginning of the program to
place you in the correct level, allowing you to begin in June or July, or both!
