BEER PACK
MIRRINOR BEER PACK
WITH INNOVATIVE GEOMETRY AND STUNNING METALLICS
This two bottle beer pack has been designed to launch MirriNor an innovative
packaging collaboration between Mirri and the Norboard division of Smurfit
Kappa Sheetfeeding. Cardboard engineered by Concept Packaging, the beer
pack demonstrates the ground breaking features available with MirriNor material.
This pack carries two 500ml bottles of traditional ale and has a carry handle
for ease of use.
As demonstrated, MirriNor has all the benefits of the patented Smurfit T-Flute
material i.e. High strength, whilst remaining super lightweight at 435gsm
(770micron), plus curvability allowing for innovative geometry within the pack
design. The Mirri element provides a high quality premium metallic surface,
with a printable metallic surface. Color-LogicTM software has been used on
this pack allowing for multiple metallic shades to be created. The Color-LogicTM
Process Metallic Color System was used at the repro stage and is available
as a plug-in for programmes like Photoshop or other design packages.
Designers or repro can run the programme and create stunning metallic effects
easily and quickly.

here is a beer pack, but the same features could be applied to create a range of different gift packs or
premium packaging”. Richard added “The curvability of MirriNor makes it possible to create an endowment effect,
whilst retaining strength. The endowment effect means that the gift is often given with both hands, evoking positive emotions
whilst presenting the pack”.

on this pack. This allowed us to create stunning metallic colours by underpinning them with intricate layers of white ink created
by the programme in minutes”.
