FOETAL HOMICIDE LAWS

Ms M.M. Quirk to the Minister representing the Attorney General:
I refer to the commitment to introduce laws relating to foetal homicide and ask:
(a)
have these laws been drafted; and
(b)
when do you anticipate these will be introduced?
Dr K.D. Hames replied:
(a)
The drafting of the legislation is currently being finalised.
(b)
The Government has not determined when it is likely to introduce the new legislation.
