TV Programs, Videos & Video Downloads
Scan TV channels: Discovery ID, truTV, A&E. All are good sources. If you subscribe to Itunes,
search for Discovery Channel and there are programs that are free downloads. With high profile
cases, there are often movies made based on the case. DO NOT RELY ON MOVIES AS A
PRIMARY RESOURCE!

Bibliography (one page)
You will be researching information using primary resources and citing in MLA format. Use the “Pink”
Packet available at the Library. The project requires a maximum of 4 sources. One must be a book. (A real
book, cover, pages, made of paper).
WARNING: Wikipedia is NOT a reliable source. I will NOT
accept any information that is gathered and or cited from Wiki.
SLIDE SHOW & PRESENTATION: You will present a power point (slide show) presentation for
8-7 minutes on your case.

Title of historic Crime/Criminal, your name, semester, class block.
Introduction Slide (1 slide)
Introduce your Historical Crime/criminal, who are the players, what crime commited.
Part I Background Information ( 4-5 information slides)
This section will provide all of the relevant background information including date, time, and
people involved. Give a description of what timeline the crime occurred. Knowing the time in
history, gives an understanding of what scientific tools were used and how cases where solved.
Part II The Case (4-5 information slides)
In this section, you should explain the case itself including all of the details (especially the MMO)
concerning the "incident(s)" at the time it occurred. Also include the final disposition (court trial
results) of the case at the time it occurred. Included will be a slide(s) that gives a detailed
description of the Forensics and forensic tools/methopds used to solve the crime.
Part III Current Information (2-3 information slides)
Use this section to discuss any new or ongoing investigations that might impact or change our
current understanding of the case. It is in this section that you can express any personal ideas or
thoughts regarding the case, changes in science that might effect the outcome, or appeals.
Part IV Conclusion (1 slide)
A summary slide will create a conclusion and highlight important facts.
