• Research methods

A brief research proposal (not suitable for submission)
Pre-requisites*:
Permission from instructor (no specific courses)

HRM*772:
Introduction to Randomized Controlled Trials (Online)
Description:
Introduction to elements of clinical trial design,
execution and analysis
Final Project:
An RCT research proposal
Pre-requisites*:
HRM*771 (or equivalent research methods course)
* In addition to: McMaster School of Graduate Studies minimum requirements
HRM*773:
Systematic Review Methods (Online)
Description:
Systematic review methods (focusing on comparisons between
alternative interventions)
Final Project:
A systematic review (suitable for submission for publication)
Pre-requisites:
HRM*771 (or equivalent research methods course)
HRM*702 (or equivalent biostatistics course)
Or permission of the instructor
PLUS: A suitable research question and a partner for conducting a
systematic review
