Marie to Sieur and Dame Bouron to be raised, fed, brought up and instructed in all the duties of the
Catholic, Apostolic and Roman religion, as their own child. Marie, in turn, would be obligated to obey,
serve, and respect them, as any Christian daughter would to her parents or anyone who took their place,
until the age of 20 years, following the laws and customs in the colony.]

Julien Freton [dit Nantais], laborer living on his land at Groçe pointe, son of the deceased Pierre Freton, while living
a master tisserand drapier, living in the parish of Saint Jean de Moidon, province and diocese of Nante en
Bretagne, française, and the deceased Francoise Allotte. The deceased was the husband of Marie Joseph
Gatignon ditte Duchesne. The quickness of his death combined with the distance of where he lived
prevented Bocquet from giving him the last rites. Bocquet was “consoled” by the regularity of Freton’s life

daughter, (3) Françoise Marie Angélique de Couagne, about three years, and (4) Jacques Villeray, a native
of Cedres, commander of the boat, were enveloped in the same shipwreck.
