Essential Responsibilities:
•
Responsible for repairs, replacement and modifications of wood/metal or other materials utilized
in framework, rafters, trusses, interior and exterior trim, staircases and other wood or wood
substitute articles, building, structural additions, modifications or repairs.
•
Independently performs installation, maintenance, construction/fabrication, modification,
assembly, repair, removal, building, sanding, finishing, glazing, etc., of facilities, cabinets,
furniture, displays, stairs, doors, roofs, partitions, walls, ceilings, stages, magnetic boards, floor
•
tiles, concrete forms, etc.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
•
Works inside and outside in various weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
•
Work around non-hazardous materials/waste lifting, stooping, crawling, bending, and carrying.
•
Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
•
Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must
possess planning/organizing skills.
Other Responsibilities:
•

continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. As appropriate, each
employee is responsible for completing all training requirements and participating in emergency
•
response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.

Minimum Requirements:
•
A minimum of a High school diploma or GED and specific training and knowledge in the particular
•
area of industrial/commercial carpentry coupled with 3+ years of job related experience.
Currently holds or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a TS clearance with a polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Good written and spoken communication and analytical skills and a working knowledge of
general math and geometry.
