Keystone Health Information Exchange:
KeyHIE Notifications
What healthcare providers need to know
A KeyHIE notification is electronically transmitted to your Keystone Health Information
Exchange (KeyHIE) portal. It alerts you when a patient under your care * is seen at a KeyHIEparticipating emergency room or is admitted to or discharged from a KeyHIE-participating
hospital.
KeyHIE notifications allow you to easily track your patients’ care without individually searching
for information during each login.
Types of notifications
As a KeyHIE-participating healthcare professional, you can choose to receive different types of
notifications including: ER admission, Inpatient admission, Inpatient discharge and ER
discharge. Additional options are available if you wish to receive a combination of
notification types.
