About Itim international
Itim was founded by Bob Waisfisz, with the assistance and endorsement from the “father of culture”, prof. dr. Geert
Hofstede, the most quoted European social scientist worldwide. We assist our customers on the three levels of
culture (Culture and personality, national culture and organizational culture) by guiding our clients to use the three
levels from a management perspective.
The guidance includes analyzing organizational cultures, consulting, training and coaching. To support these
practices, itim has developed a sizeable toolkit which includes organizational culture scans, personal cultural value
surveys, an online education package called “Cohesion by Diversity” and mobile applications to compare your own
cultural preferences to those of the countries you visit.
What sets itim international apart from its peers, is the ability to combine the organizational cultural insights with
national cultural tendencies, meaning any change intervention is tailored to what are locally accepted practices. This
sincerely increases the success rate and underlines itim´s statement that we assist our clients in going beyond
cultural awareness and enable our clients to use culture as a tool of management.
Itim currently has locations in 32 countries and its network consists of 80 associate partners, spread out over 61
license holders. The headquarters is based in Helsinki, Finland. The current Managing Director is Egbert Schram.
