Science Information from Mr. DeLong
Please reread chapter 11, and study the chapter 11 packet (including the simple
machines) & vocabulary foldable to prepare for the chapter 11 test. A review
sheet listing all the concepts that will be on the test will be handed out in school
next week. The review sheet and a simple machines website that we will explore
in school can be found on the science page of my website.

Social Studies Information from Mrs. Williams
Social Studies flash cards have been handed out. All
students heard the explanation about how these cards
work. For my homeroom, the cards, all 18, are due on
Tuesday, September 24th. To be complete, the answers
to the questions need to be written on the back AND they
need to be here at school on the due date. If they are complete and here on the
due date, students will receive 5 points for Social Studies. If they do not have
them completed or at school, they will receive 0 points. Although 5 points may
not seem like a lot, it is enough that it can affect your child’ s grade if they do not
do them. These cards are a very helpful way of studying for the upcoming test.
Although I will have it written on my assignment board, your child may not write it
down each night so I wanted to make you aware of this. The chapter 1 test is on
Thursday, September 26th.
