NURSING PROGRAM APPLICATION
The Minnesota Alliance for Nursing Education (MANE) is comprised of member community colleges and Metropolitan State
University who collaboratively offer an Associate Degree (ADN) to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, with dual
enrollment at Riverland Community College and Metropolitan State University. This opportunity provides nursing students
flexibility in their educational and career planning.
Completion of this single application provides the information necessary to be considered for full admission to Riverland
Community College and Metropolitan State University’s nursing program.
The application deadline is February 1 for a Fall semester start at Riverland Community College. All requirements for this
application must be completed and/or submitted by the application deadline.

2. All applicants are required to have taken the most current Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), standardized Test
of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS V) prior to the application deadline. The TEAS V score report must accompany
the program application even though the testing site has agreed to send the results to the college.

5. TRANSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS: Our Admissions office can pull an E-transcript for any MnSCU institution attended.
Applicants must supply official transcripts for all non-MnSCU colleges or universities attended and official transcripts
for any post-secondary credits earned including military, CLEP, and/or advanced placement. If currently enrolled at
another institution, official transcripts must include Fall 2013 grades and current Spring 2014 enrolled courses.
Credits earned must be from Regionally Accredited institutions. Riverland Community College and Metropolitan State
University are accredited by North Central Accreditation. International college credits must be evaluated by World
Education Services (www.wes.org) or Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org). A copy of the unofficial
international college transcripts must be Included in conjunction with the official evaluation.
Official copies of non-MnSCU transcripts must be sent to the Records Office at Riverland Community College,

Admitted students will be required to complete a criminal background study. If an applicant has been arrested,

may have on his or her chances of participating in clinical experiences, employment or licensure as a registered
nurse and the student’s chances to obtain federal, state and other higher education financial aid (by Minnesota
Statute 135A. 157). If the applicant refuses, or is disqualified as a result of the background study, the applicant will
be unable to successfully complete the requirements of the MANE program.
Involuntary termination from a healthcare institution may prohibit a student from completing this program.
