scalene triangle
Definition
A triangle with no congruent sides.
scatter plot
A graph that shows the general relationship between two sets of
data.
scientific notation
A system of writing numbers using multiplication and powers of
ten. A number of the form a × 10n, where 1 < a < 10 and n is an
integer. Examples: 95,700 = 9.57 × 104, 0.000024 = 2.4 × 10-5
