Level 1 Award in Retail Knowledge
Course summary:
This free course has been created between Norfolk Training Services and The
Purfleet Trust for people looking to work in the Retail sector. This course will provide
a basic overview of the knowledge behind working in a retail environment.
Units Covered:




Understanding the business of retail
Understanding customer service in the retail sector
Understanding how a retail business maintains health, safety and security on
its premises
Understanding the retail selling process
Duration:
The course will last two weeks and will be one day per week with some research and
home study outside of the main sessions.
Location:
All of the training is done at our main offices in Kings Lynn.
Awarding Body:
City and Guilds. Please note there is an online multiple choice test at the end of this
course
Opportunity:
To progress to the Level 1 Certificate in Retail Knowledge and then the Level 2
Certificate in Retail Skills
