We Congratulate Winners of
GREEN
WAVE
ENVIRONMENT COMPETITION 2004
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Green Wave Environmental Care Competition
for schools 2004. A total of 21 awards will be presented in today‘s award ceremony at
the Tudor Ballroom, Goodwood Park, Singapore.
The competition has attracted keen interest and participation from students in Singapore
since its launch in January 2003. This year’s competition attracted 126 entries from Primary,
Secondary, Junior College / Institute of Technical Education / Centralised Institute and
Tertiary levels, a significant increase from last year‘s inaugural competition.
Parks Board, National University of Singapore, National Institute of Education and Singapore
Polytechnic for their strong support. Our environmental outreach to schools and young
people in Singapore through Green Wave Environmental Competition would not have
been successful and sustainable without the strong support from the Principals, Heads of
Departments of schools and student participants. We also thank our alliance partners, Shell
International Trading and Shipping Company Ltd and BP Shipping, who are co-sponsors
of the competition’s top prizes, for their continued pledge of support and strong encouragement
of this meaningful competition.
We are grateful to our Guest-of-Honour, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for
Education, for gracing this significant event. Our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of
