Problem: Do sheep kidneys show internal structures similar to
human kidneys?

Hypothesis: If mammalian kidneys are similar in structure, a
sheep’s kidney and human’s kidney should have structural
similarities because of common ancestry.

Procedure: After careful external observation, cut the kidney
along its mid-sagittal plane and make observations.
!
Observations: Make five observations and two inferences about
the external kidney along with five observations and two
inferences about the internal kidney anatomy. Include a sketch of
the internal structure of a human kidney from the text book,
labeling at least 5 structures (p. 520).

Analysis & Conclusion: Support or reject your hypothesis with
observational evidence.
