highlight the comma rules on your purple ACT
packet I gave you a few weeks ago.
Fitzgerald’s “Babylon Revisited”
• Take five minutes to write three solid
discussion questions for this story.
• Follow the etiquette for writing strong questions.
• Bring them up to me.
• I will randomly select questions to ask and
people can volunteer responses.
• No volunteers? I will start randomly call on
people to respond.
Let’s look at sample annotation
• for the story you’re going to start reading today
and finish up BEFORE next class “Winter
Dreams” by F. Scott Fitzgerald
• I’m going to read the first few pages of the story
aloud and show you on the doc. cam how I
would annotate it.
• Use the rest of class today to continue reading,
and then finish it up before next class.
