Writing prompts ( in Spanish) – Thursday and Friday, June 13-14

Cuando era niño……..
focus: childhood vocabulary, imperfect tense 15-20 sentences
Vocabulary:
Adjetivos - ¿Cómo era yo? ¿Mis amigos?
Actividades - ¿Qué hacia?
Lugares - ¿Adónde íbamos?

¿Cuándo? Todos los días / cada año / los viernes……..

¿Qué hizo la familia Suarez el fin de semana pasada? Focus: preterite, some imperfect 20-25 sentences
(weather, feelings, “while” doing something), celebrations vocabulary
Use pictures below to discuss various activities they engaged in during the weekend. Describe emotions and
feelings (imperfect) and use imperfect and preterite together to describe when 2 things were occurring (ex. The
mothers were talking - las madres hablaban – when the boys began to fight – cuando los chicos empezaron a
pelearse)
Cultural response – (English) Describe a holiday or celebration you learned about. When does it take place? How/why
did it come about? What activities/traditions are associated with it?

#4You were talking about you first time driving. You are to describe your experience, how did you learn
to drive and what things you need to avoid when driving.
How old were you when you started to drive a car.
What happened on the street, city or highway
Who gave you a ticket and why
What emotions you experienced while you were driving and what advice have people given you
Reading comprehension/short answer. (Thu-Fri )
You will read a letter describing a student’s recent trip. You will need to answer such questions as:
