A Northwestern Business College Associate Degree is highly recommended for transfer to Robert
Morris University with junior standing.
Robert Morris University is a participant in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI). Lower
division general education requirements are satisfied by the completion of an A.A. or A.S. from
IAI participating institutions in Illinois. RMU upper division general education courses are
fulfilled during the completion of the upper division graduation requirements.
Robert Morris University will accept credit from an accredited institution on a course-by-course
basis. Courses that are less than 100 level, remedial, or developmental will not transfer. Courses
accepted for transfer must be comparable to those taught at Robert Morris University and must be
recognized by Robert Morris University as generally being applicable toward an Associate or
Baccalaureate degree.
No more than 140 quarter hours (93 semester hours) will transfer to Robert Morris University
toward Baccalaureate degree requirements.

ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY ARTICULATION AGREEMENT (adopted March 2007)
Transfer from Associate Degree to Bachelor in Business Administration, Bachelor
of Applied Science in Graphic Design or Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer
Studies
Students who hold an Associate Degree (AS, AA or AAS) from a regionally accredited institution
are eligible for acceptance into a bachelor’s degree at Robert Morris University.
Because of the foundation and advanced training involved in each degree, each student’s progress
will be individualized based on his or her background at the associate degree level.
In each degree, a minimum of 188 total hours must be earned and the equivalent of four full-time
quarters of study must be completed at Robert Morris University.
Bachelor of Business Administration
Management or Hospitality Management Concentration
- A student who has earned an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution
will be awarded the BBA degree in no more than 96 quarter hours beyond the associate
degree (6 quarters, 4 classes per quarter).
Accounting, Law Office Management, or Health & Fitness Management Concentration
- A student who has earned an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution
will be awarded the BBA degree in no more than 144 quarter hours beyond the
associate degree (9 quarters, 4 classes per quarter).
Students interested are STRONGLY recommended to complete at least 21 hours in the area of
concentration prior to enrollment in a bachelor degree program at Robert Morris University.
Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Computer Studies:*
Students are STRONGLY recommended to complete the following courses:
1. At least one Computer Programming course taken: CS 203, 207, 219,
2. At least one Computer Networking course taken from: CS 272, 273, 274
3. At least one Database Management course taken from: CS 140, 240, 276
4. An additional 12 hours in the area of concentration
*Transfer courses fulfilling major requirements for the Bachelor of Applied Science –Computer
