Objectives: Select two countries with different sized footprints and
research the lifestyles of the citizens of the countries you selected.
Evaluate what aspects of lifestyle are most important in calculating an
ecological footprint.
Activities:
1. Make sure your bar graph is finished.
2. Team up with a classmate. Between the two of you, you will
need to pick one developed and one developing country.
3. Use the Country Grams to complete the chart and share your
answers with each other.
Homework: Environmental Issues Review Packet. Due on Weds.
Remember that you have to make a graph also.

Objectives: Evaluate what aspects of lifestyle are most important in
calculating an ecological footprint.
Decide whether any lifestyle changes should or could be made to alter the
value of the ecological footprint of the average person in the United
States.
Activities: REMEMBER TO TURN IN YOUR HOMEWORK!
1.
Make sure your comparison chart is finished.
2.
With your partner, answer the Analysis and Conclusion Questions. (15
mins)
3.
Discuss and share responses as a class.
4.
Both partners need to turn in a lab. The lab includes the bar graph, the
comparison chart and the questions. Lab is due on Thursday.
Homework: Review guided note packet in preparation for a test
on Friday.
