“New to Profession” Principal On-boarding Experience
The new to profession principal on-boarding experience is committed to ensuring beginning principals are
prepared and have the skills, confidence and resources necessary to effectively start the school year.
A five-day summer program designed specifically for “New to Profession Principals”.
Dates: July 24, 25, 29, 31 and August 1, 2013
Location: Minnesota State University Mankato at Edina, 7700 France Avenue S., Edina, MN

Leading Strands
Gain a deeper understanding of the leadership role of the Principal
Know and understand their district and school by demonstrating a strong
understanding of mission, vision, beliefs, behaviors and results
Attend two days of Beyond Diversity training to help new principals
understand the impact of race on student learning and investigate the role
that racism plays in institutionalized academic achievement disparities
