Q: What are IT Nett Rates?
A: IT Nett Rates are leisure fares which must
be used in conjunction with inclusive
tour packages.
Q: How can I gain access to IT Nett Rates?
A: In order to gain access to the
British Airways IT Nett Rates, a New
Business Application Form must be
completed; this can be downloaded
from LIME’s website. The application
form is a business case, which should
include a company overview, details of
how it operates and examples of recent
marketing activity. Any brochures or
marketing collateral should be provided at
this point. If detailed information is provided
and the application looks professional it is more
likely to be accepted. The application is then
submitted by LIME to British Airways; where it
will be assessed by the Leisure Sales Department.
We can only accept applications from ATOL bonded
travel companies.
Q: How long does the application process take?
A: Once your application has been submitted to LIME, we will
then meet with British Airways on your behalf. There is no
specific timescale for this process and it can vary from one
application to another. We advise that you allow 30 days for
your application to be considered.

INCLUSIVE TOUR FLIGHTS FAQ’s
Q: Once my application is approved, what happens next?
Q: How can bookings be made?
A: LIME will contact you to advise if your application has
been successful. LIME will send you all the relevant forms,
including the LIME Sales Agreement which must be signed
and returned to LIME. Sales targets will also be agreed for
the following year. The contract signed is between LIME
and the tour operator, not British Airways. Once
completed contracts have been received, your account
will be set up on LIME’s system and access to the rates
will be granted.
A: All bookings are made through LIME’s Internet Booking
Engine (LIBE). It is a very easy point and click system that
enables all prices and the rules to be viewed.
Q: How do I receive the rates?
Q: How are the tickets accessed?
A: 99% of all tickets are now in the form of an e-ticket.
If credit is given, tickets can be issued by the operator
through LIBE. The amount of credit you receive is
determined by a thorough credit check, you will be
advised on the outcome of this when your application
is approved.
A: Rates are distributed online via a bespoke system which
has been specifically designed by LIME to give tour
operators access to British Airways IT Nett Rates in a
secure and easily accessible area.

INCLUSIVE TOUR FLIGHTS FAQ’s
Q: What if credit can not be given?
A: If credit cannot be given by LIME other arrangements can be made.
The following options are available:
■
Tickets can be paid for after the booking is made, prior to ticketing.
■
You can pay an amount of money into LIME’s bank account, which
will act as a security deposit. This will give you access to ticketing up
to the value of the security payment that has been made. An agreed
amount of interest will also be paid to you.
■
A bankers draft can be set up with your bank and agreed with LIME.
This will also give you access to LIBE ticketing.
Q: How much coverage must be given to British Airways in my
brochure / on my website?
A: In the first instance we request that a minimum of half a page of
British Airways marketing is featured in your brochure, or the same
amount of space as any other airline. This will be dependent on the
size of your brochure and only applies if a printed brochure is produced.
On your website as a minimum you are required to include the Appointed
Operator logo with a link to a British Airways product information page,
which LIME can provide. If you wish to design your own product page,
we can provide text, images and logos. LIME must approve all British Airways
branding prior to publication.

Q: Can a British Airways logo be used in advertising?
A: On gaining a contract with LIME you will become
an “Appointed Operator” of British Airways, and
you will receive collateral provisions. These include
the British Airways logos and a range of images.
The marketing collateral can be used on your
brochure/website. All advertisements that carry
the British Airways logo must be signed off by
LIME’s marketing department prior to publication.
Q: Are there any reasons why a contract would be
terminated and access to the IT Nett Rates revoked?
A: There are several instances when this may occur:
■
Low sales – Annual sales targets will be agreed
and monitored
■
Not adhering to the contract rules – i.e. exposing
the Nett Rate
■
Credit issues – Payments must be received when
requested, late payments may result in access to
ticketing being suspended
■
Brand approval - Not adhering to the brand guidelines,
as well as not gaining approval for artwork prior to
publication
Q: How long does the contract last?
A: The contract is indefinite although either party can
cancel it within the agreed notice period as stipulated
in the contract.
Q: Who will be my main contact at LIME?
A: A list of key contacts will be supplied to you upon gaining
your contract. You will also be given full support through
LIME's Customer Support Team and Sales & Marketing
Team. Depending on your business needs, LIME can
also allocate a dedicated account contact to you.
