Media Kit www.studentdoctor.net Overview The Student Doctor Network (SDN) is a professional community of thousands of pre-health and health professional students from across the United States and Canada and around the world. Founded in 1999, our non-profit site is run by volunteers and is dedicated to providing students with free and unbiased information. Our Mission Our Membership The mission of SDN is to assist and encourage all students through the challenging and complicated healthcare education process. Our community includes most doctoral-level health fields: Our 440,000 members are what make SDN a community. The Student Doctor Forums, the heart of our site, contain over 15 million posts covering all areas of the health care education process. Our diverse membership spans from high school students through to attending physicians. • Dental (DDS and DMD) • Podiatry (DPM) • Medical (MD – Allopathic and DO – Osteopathic) • Psychology (PsyD and PhD) • Optometry (OD) • Pharmacy (PharmD) • Physical Therapy (PT) • Rehabilitation Sciences (AuD, ODT, PT, PhD) • Veterinary (DVM) SDN is published by the Coastal Research Group. Founded in 1983, CRG is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt educational organization. Services We provide the following features to support our community and our mission Articles Forums Test Prep Forum Feature articles, including provider interviews, applicant stories and expert tips, are published multiple times weekly. Community forums allow members to interact, giving and receiving information, advice and encouragement. Interview Feedback Database School Reviews Database Driven by member survey responses, the interview feedback database provides detailed information on the interview process at health professional schools across the United States and Canada. The school reviews database allows current and former medical students to provide feedback on what it is like to be a student at their institution. Our community hosts a free online exhibition featuring products and services geared towards exam preparation, school admissions, and building clinical skills. For more information on becoming an Exhibitor, please e-mail sponsorship@studentdoctor.net. How to Choose a Medical Specialty SDN and Anita Taylor, author of How to Choose a Medical Specialty, have partnered to provide this online overview of specialities. Community members can learn more about each specialty and take the assessment quiz to find out which specialties best match their values and personality. Free Classifieds Students and companies can post items for sale, housing, job opportunities and services. Companies are allowed one free advertisement in the classifieds section. Publications SDN offers a range of publications for our community, including our popular Medical School Admissions Guide and How to Choose a Medical Specialty. Sponsors Sponsor Recognition Packages Forum sponsorships are available to organizations offering products and services which are appropriate for our members and fit within SDN’s core mission. Sponsors can choose to sponsor one of our content sections or any one of our over 100 individual forums. Sponsors may choose to sponsor a section or forum for any period of three months or longer. All sponsors will receive prominent banner placement within the section or forum sponsored. Banners are placed above the section or forum being sponsored and all pages within the section or forum. Sponsors may use multiple rotating banners within a single sponsored forum or section. There can be up to three banner sponsors per forum and eight sponsors for content sections. Each sponsor will receive equal recognition. Sponsorship is for a specific period, no less than three months.
