GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM (GEP) TRANSFER GUIDE
The following guide is for students who plan to transfer to MSU without completing either an (A.A.)
Associate of Arts Degree or the 42-hour general education block for the A.A. degree. Students who earn
an Associate of Arts Degree will meet all lower-division general education requirements at MSU. Students who
complete the 42-hour general education block at SCC will meet all lower-division general education
requirements at MSU, but will also need an American History course if not already included in the 42-hour
block.
Please consult MSU’s catalog (which may be accessed at www.missouristate.edu) or speak with a MSU
counselor regarding general education program courses which may also be applied toward requirements for
your major.
