Potentate’s Column
As spring approaches,
we know it is time for new
awakenings. We see it all
around us in nature. It is only
befitting that we recognize the
new beginnings that surround
us as Shriners. The Wallachs,
Benefields, Rahmehs and
Haileys attended the Hella
Potentate’s Ball on February 14 in Dallas. We had the
privilege of joining two of
D. Michael Wallach
our Shriners Hospitals patient
Potentate
ambassadors from Galveston
at the Ball. Harli White, who many of you met here last
fall, the young race car driver from Oklahoma who was
burned in a racing accident, was there. After several
years of treatment, she has returned to racing and is a
beautiful young lady. Keylee Latham, a nine year old
girl from east of Dallas was burned last summer in a 4
wheeler accident. After several months of treatment
at Galveston she has progressed greatly in her rehabili-
tation. Both of these young ladies and their families are
eternally grateful for each of you as Shiner and Shiner
families in giving them a new beginning in life.
With our IHOP National Pancake Day on
March 3, we kick off our spring Hospital Fund Drive
events for the year. That, of course, will be followed
on May 1-2 with our traditional store fronts and street
corner collections. Assistant Rabban Phil Trew, HFD
Chairman Jeff Ingham and their committees are
organized and ready to go in their ever prepared
mode so that we can solicit the generosity of the good
people of North Texas to support our great Hospitals
in Texas. This is also a great opportunity to show the
Fez and to get our new and established members
working together for our core purpose as Shiners.
Finally, we are working on a new project on May 3031 to raise funds for our hospitals. We are working
with the North Texas Food Truck Association to have
a Food Truck Festival at the Temple where all of the
community can sample the various fares, enjoy a
festival atmosphere with live music and free tours of
the Masonic Temple to learn about our long history

Congratulations to Moslah Temple for earning the rating of Silver Status
for membership in 2014. That is a 2% improvement over the previous year.
This year our goal is GOLD, which is a net gain. We have so many good things
happening this year that are fun as well as rewarding for ourselves and others.
Always keep those petitions in your pocket and ready to share with others
looking to do the same. Remember 100 new members for the Moslah 100th
Anniversary.
Please see the dates for some of the plans for this year:
• Easter Egg Hunt March 29 at the Temple. 1:30 PM. Remember,
this is a membership building event. Please invite family, friends
and your kid’s friends. Let them see how much fun it is to Be A
Shriner!
• First Party of the year, Moslah Spring Margaritaville Party. You
will have a beach, food, decorations all done by members of
the Units and Clubs. Plus live entertainment! Yes, prizes for best
dress attire and Jimmy Buffett fanfare! Mark your calendars for
April 18 6:30 PM in the Grand Ball Room at the Temple.
• Conceal & Carry Class in conjunction with Sportsmen Spectacular
August 8
• Casino Bus Trip is September 20 and 21.
• Fall Ceremonial with new member celebrations. October 24. If
you have not been to a Ceremonial in the last few years, come
back and see what you are missing.
Bob Roth and his membership committee are working hard to achieve
our 100 new members for our 100th anniversary! If you know of any Master
Masons who would like to join, give us a call. If you would like to help the
membership committee build our ranks give us a call, we need help from as
many Ladies and Nobles as we can get! Also, don’t forget to visit and support your Blue Lodge. Let them know
the good things we do at Moslah and let them know we are here to help them
grow and prosper.

Car-vettes
Congratulations to Ill. Sir Michael
Wallach and Lady Susan on his election to
Potentate for 2015. Also, congratulations
to the entire Divan. The Car-Vettes look
forward to assisting you in any way
possible to make 2015 a very successful year.
All of Moslah’s units, including the Car-Vettes,are in full
swing raising money for the Shriners Hospitals while still having fun
participating in parades and other activities. Our IHOP collection
day is March 3. The Car-Vettes are manning the stores in Decatur and
Weatherford.
This will be published after we have participated in the Fat
Tuesday parade in Lake Dallas and the “world famous” Pickle Parade
in Mansfield.
If you’re a Shriner not presently in a unit and want to have
some fun, come and drive one of our little yellow cars in one of our
upcoming parades, we usually have an extra car or two so just contact
any Car-Vette member and come join in the fun. You too can be one
of the elite and proud by joining this select group!
Our Colonel Cecil LeMond is planning on starting practice
for competition at TSA very soon. It’s not too late to get in on the fun.

Mystic Wheels
Hello Nobles and Ladies! Another year underway!
The Mystic Wheels Valentine’s Party was a huge success and
a great time was had by all. An evening of family fun, gifts for the
Ladies, and of course, numerous surprises throughout the evening.
Love was in the air!
The Mystic Wheels have new officers steering the boat for
2015:
Civil :

all the Divan members. We are ready to assist you in any way we can
for 2015.

Hey, Moslah Noble! Are you looking for a unit home? Come
check us out. You will find a very family oriented group with the ladies
and kids at all our events*we have a lot of kids! We ride inexpensive,
traditional open wheel go karts, and you will find us heavily involved
in all temple and blue lodge activities. Call Doug Watkins 919-0311,
Bob Roth 509-7773 or Tommy Boldin 682 888-3427 for information
and to arrange a visit. Come see why so many nobles have chosen the
Mystic Wheels for their unit home - still the LARGEST and friendliest
motorized unit in Texas!

Bedouins
.Greeting from the Bedouins. If you are
not familiar with us, we are a uniformed unit that
performs oriental music through the use of drums,
horns, cymbals & tambourines. We are always looking
for new members. So come out & give a listen, watch
or even pick up an instrument and play along.
.We have a great start to our year, the first event was a
great experience. Great music, food and fellowship were the makings
of the “All Things Texan” party. There will be more things to come: a
social, picnic and formal Christmas party are in the works.
Band practice is off to a great start. Under the direction of
Johnnie Wallace, this year looks very promising as we prepare for TSA &
Imperial. We plan on having more fun and fellowship at both events.
Come visit & enjoy.
Yours in faith, Terry Posey, Caliph

The Flying Fez has lifted off for another busy year. Installation
of officers was held on January 09 in the Moslah Shrine temple with

we do. He also encouraged each member to share with their home

contributions in 2014. He presented a Plaque of Appreciation to his
