Celebration of Global Entrepreneurship
week In University of Azad Jammu And
Kashmir
Entrepreneurs are the people who become self-employed
and become their own boss rather than to serve any one
else and get paid. This week of Global Entrepreneurship
motivates young graduates to start their own ventures and
don't depend on anyone else for their bread and butter.
Entrepreneurship week is being celebrated in all over the
world from the past few years. This week is celebrated
th
rd
from 17 to 23 of November each year. The reason behind
the celebration of this week is to encourage our new
generation to become entrepreneurs rather than seek jobs
after their graduation. The Moto of this week is, “One
should be job provider rather than job seeker”.
The Department of Business Administration is one of the
newest departments in the University of Azad Jammu and
Kashmir. In the past four years this Department has
flourished in all the aspects to provide quality education to
its students. In the continuity of its efforts, department with
the collaboration of ORIC celebrated the Global
Entrepreneurship week. In this regard a ceremony was
arranged in the City Campus of University of Azad Jammu
and Kashmir on 22nd of November, 2014. The reason to
arrange this program is to take part in the Global
Entrepreneurship week and to introduce this concept at the
University level so that our faculty and students become
aware of this concept. The punch line of the program was,
"Sowing the seed of Entrepreneurship". This is the very
first attempt of introducing such concept of
Entrepreneurship at the University level and like many
other contributions Department of Business
Administration took the responsibility to do this with
ORIC.
