2.
Select at least 5 of the artist and look at their artwork.
Pick one of the artists that you like based on the artwork
that you like (make sure you have a backup!!!! Only 2 students per artist!).
**Some of the artwork is not appropriate for school and you may not choose those.
After you have decided which artist,
you must write a 500-word essay
about that artist (in YOUR OWN WORDS)!
The following is a suggestion on what you might include.
The 5th paragraph MUST contain YOUR THOUGHTS!
First paragraph is your introduction (tell me about POP ART…how did it
start? What type of art is it? Why did it get the name? etc…,
 Second paragraph should talk about your artists youth, family, and school
 Third paragraph tell about how your artist got started in art and what he has done
 Fourth paragraph should talk about anything else you find interesting about your
artist
 Final paragraph should be what YOU thought about the artist and
WHY YOU picked them!
Tell me things like birthday, are they dead? When? Or Alive? Where are they from?
What kind of art did they do? Of what? What medium? Anything else that you feel is

important or interesting about the artist?
The essay may be hand written
or typed...but it MUST be legible! (NEAT)
The essay is due Tuesday, November 8
when you walk into the classroom!
