A Problem-Solution Essay
Topic:
“Water shortage is becoming a problem for the Middle East.” Discuss this problem and
suggest some solutions.” Write 150 words.
Sample Answer:
One of the biggest problems facing the United Arab Emirates
today is the water shortage. Indeed water is life and we can not live without it.
This essay will examine the problem of water shortage in UAE and
suggest some possible solutions for it
There are many problems connected with water shortage. One problem is
that the UAE is located in the desert. Therefore, it has a very small
amount of underground water, little rain and no rivers. Another issue is
that a lot of water is used by the people in their houses and the farmers
in their farms. Because they get the water supply for free, people in the
UAE don’t care about the amount of water that gets wasted.
There are many ways to solve the problem of water shortage. One
solution is to grow crops that can survive in salty water and lack of
water. Also, recycled water could be used for irrigating farms. Another
possibility is educating the people about this serious problem. This will
help them to understand the problem and so they will not waste water.
In conclusion, educating people is the best solution to the water shortage
problem because it will stop the problem from becoming worse. If we all work
together, we can overcome this serious threat.
