Introduction:
Speaking in front of an audience helps build confidence, it is the importance of
appreciating the self and building confidence from that.
In time you will get used of having an audience. It becomes something normal and not
something to be afraid of. Your skills will get better every time you speak, your language
will improve and your confidence will grow!
Description:
Working with speech improves your vocabulary and
grammar skills,, helps you get a more proper
pronunciation, your fluency in speaking will also
improve, helps you shape up your oral
communication skills,
Since you have many different topics to choose from you will find something that suits you
the best, which means that you will work with material that fits you and your interest. You
will feel motivated and that’s when learning is at it’s best!

opinions and fact around
your area of your topic.
Examples within each area:
• Interpretive reading - Read a pragraph from a book that you really like! (presentation of
author, work with words, grammar)
• Acting - choose a scene from for example Romea and Juliet, memories and act ( work
with Shakespear, history, his plays, words etc)
• Oratory speech- Choose among the most famous speeches ever given. Memories and
act. Work with words, grammar etc. (Martin Luther King, Prins Daniel, Al Pacino in the
movie ”Scent of a woman”, J.F Kennedy, Mahatma Gandhi among others).
• Persuasive speech - choose a topic and write down your opinions (persuasive, own
experiences etc) Biking is clean, Respect bicyclists, bombing of Hiroshima. Almost like
”My opinion”.
• Informative speech with Keynote or PP- music group/artist, famous person, sports,
environmental disasters, cults. You could choose alomost anything here!
• Bookreviewing - read a book, write a bookreport and present infront of group.
• Storytelling - write your own story and read it aloud infront of group.
• Demonstrative speech (how to play WOW, how to play chess, how to make a perfect
chai latte, how to cook food etc) Remember your audience has vague pre-knowledge!
• Tv-show - work in group and write down a manuscript for your show. Think about who you are
going to interview, questions etc. (Skavlan, Robin, The Ellen show, Vad blir det för mat?, Tinas
kök etc).
