Boyd Multerer
General Manager, XNA Group
Boyd Multerer is the general manager for Microsoft’s XNA Group, which provides software development
kits for games across all of Microsoft’s platforms: Games for Windows, Xbox 360 and now Zune. Boyd
joined Microsoft in 1997 and led the technical development of Xbox LIVE when he joined the Xbox team
in 2000. Boyd has been working toward the democratization of game development and the upcoming
launch of Community Games on Xbox LIVE since 2004 when he began leading the efforts on XNA Game
Studio.
Boyd holds a degree in mechanical engineering. He lives with his family in the greater Seattle area and
enjoys spending time with his kids, playing the guitar and studying thermoelectric materials in his spare
time. He is deeply passionate about developers of every level and takes pleasure in the latest XNA efforts
that allow him to work with community on creative projects.
