Nafta: Five-Paragraph Essay
The Question
What are the costs and what are the benefits of Nafta? In your opinion, do the costs outweigh
the benefits or do the benefits outweigh the costs? Explain.
The Format
You will be writing a five-paragraph essay. This means you must include:



An Introduction (must include your thesis)
Three pieces of evidence to support your thesis (one per body paragraph)
A Conclusion (If you think the system needs improvement you may want to include
some suggestions as to how we might make Nafta work better for everyone)
Bibliography
You must include a bibliography
You will not need to do any outside reading to write this essay. All of the readings you need can
be found on my website or have been handed out in class. You may also use your “Global
Economy” packet.
