First Grade Book Reports

2013-2014

1. Please keep this packet in a safe place.

2. Reports must be made from a book that the student can read by them self.

3. Students must complete and turn in a Book Report Information Sheet (provided by me) by the Friday before the book report due date. Turning in a complete Book

Report Information Sheet on time is one component of the grading rubric for book reports. The Book Report Information Sheet will require the following information:

 The student’s name

 Title of the book

 Author

 Illustrator

 Date of original publication

 Idea used for reporting (refer to list and give the corresponding number)

 Due date (month, day, year)

4. Well-prepared reports should last at least 2 minutes. Presentations should not take longer than 5 minutes. Students should be able to tell about the book and the project that they made.

5. Each report must use a different way to present each time. You many choose a

number only once. Please keep track of the numbers you have chosen by crossing them off your list (or placing a check beside the number). February’s book report must be a biography and the students must choose #42 for the report.
