As part of Emerging Artist Concerts Tour, presented by Desjardins, Jeunesses Musicales Canada
is proud to present Modern Sketches, featuring Fandango Guitar Quartet, composed of Julian
Geisterfer, Tobie-Éloi Hinse-Paré, Roberto Martinez et Simon Rivet.
From the romantic music of Brahms to the rousing tangos of Patrick Roux, these young prodigies
will transport you and entrance you with the precision of their playing and their special chemistry.
Biography
The Fandango Quartet was formed in 2008, when four students of the Conservatoire de musique de
Gatineau aged 15 to 17 united under the direction of renowned guitar teacher Patrick Roux. Since
then, they never ceased to amaze audiences by their meticulous playing, virtuosity as well as their
dynamic playing as an ensemble. First prize winners in the regional category of Kiwanis festival in
2009, they played for masters such as Pavel Steidl, Odaïr Assad, Fabio Zanon and Eden-Stell duo.
They were also chosen to play in the Maison Symphonique of Montréal’s open doors in front of an
audience of 800 people who reserved them a standing ovation.
