Addition and Subtraction
in Common Core (TK-2)
Develop a deeper understanding of the learning progressions for
addition and subtraction called for in the Common Core State
Standards in the TK-2 grade span.
Engage in meaningful mathematical tasks related to the domains
of Counting and Cardinality, Operations & Algebraic Thinking,
and Numbers and Operations in Base Ten.
Experience changes to teaching and learning that engage
students in deep conceptual understanding and meaningful
applications of addition and subtraction.
