Notes on reading/saying numbers:!
1) the words “trillion”, “billion”, “million”, and “thousand” are read/said when you
encounter a comma (or when a comma should be there)!
2) the words “ones” and “tens” are not read/said!
3) numbers are read in sets of three (or less) like you would normally read a set of
three numbers (ex. 452 is read four hundred fifty-two and 452,000 is read four
hundred fifty-two thousand and 452,328 is read four hundred fifty-two thousand
three hundred twenty-eight!
4) numbers are read starting on the left and going toward the right, just like words are
read!

Note: If a number does not have a decimal point it is located after the ones place. It
is not often written when a number does not have digits after the decimal point (ex.
563=563.)
