Level
Entering students will be required to take the ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra placement test.
Students must satisfy at least one of the indicators in a math level to meet the requirements for that
level.
The ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score is just one possible criterion.
Once a CCP student has been admitted to the CCP Program, use these math guidelines to select a
math course. Note: Math 1106, Math 1117, Math 1118, are not eligible for CCP funding.
Indicators – Students must satisfy at least one of the
indicators to qualify in that level.
Beginning Math Course
 20-25 on ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra and
20 – 29 ACCUPLACER Arithmetic
 Enrolling in AOC is no cost to student.
 Note: Students could be eligible for Math 1106
based on their high school transcript

 2 years of College Prep Mathematics with a grade
of C or higher
 40-59 on ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra
MATH 1117-Elementary Algebra
MATH 1135- Allied Health Math

 3 years College Prep Mathematics with a grade of
C or better
 60 - 89 on ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra
MATH 1118 –Intermediate Algebra
Math 1120 – Technical Math

 3-4 years of College Prep Mathematics with a
grade of B or higher
 90 or above on ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra
 ACT Math score of 22 or above
MATH 1141- College Algebra
MATH 1124- Finite Math
MATH 2221- Calculus
 4-5 years of College Prep Mathematics, including
Trigonometry with grades at the A or B level.
 ACT Math score of 26 or above
These courses are considered College Prep Math Courses:
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.
