Biome Project
There are large areas on Earth that have similar climates and distinct plant
and animal populations. Each biome has its own producers, consumers, and
decomposers. A biome usually covers parts of several continents (each
continent has several biomes). There are six land biomes on Earth. These
include the following:
tropical rain forest
grasslands
desert
temperate forest
taiga
tundra
Your Job:
Research 3 biomes and in a PowerPoint presentation include the following
information:

Areas where you can find this biome
2.
Amount of rain (precipitation) per year
3.
The average temperature
4.
How long the growing season is
5.
Unique characteristics
6.
Plants found in this biome
7.
Animals found in this biome
Make sure the PowerPoint is colorful, contains pictures, and the writing is
large enough for the whole class to see. Include backgrounds, animations,
sounds, and text from either www.flamingtext.com or
www.3dtextmaker.com on each slide. You will need to have a title page for
each biome being researched followed by seven slides of information as
listed above. Finally, the last slide should contain your name and hour. If
you followed the directions correctly, you will end up having 25 total slides
in your PowerPoint presentation.
