Please read Psalm 119:97-104 (MEM)
As you pray before reading these verses, ask the Holy Spirit to help you
“meditate” and gain life-changing “understanding” through His Word!
We see the word ‘meditation’ twice here. That means to ‘reflect’ on God’s
Word, and pray for understanding and direction--not just ‘quickly scan’ it!!
According to verse 97, how much time does the writer spend ‘meditating’?
___________________________ That means God’s Word is ALWAYS on his mind, and in his heart! Is that true for you, too? __________________
“Understanding” (wisdom) is a result of “Meditation”, because it is only through God’s Word that we can know what God wants.
Verse 98 says: ‘Your commandments are ever with me’.
Memorizing is an important way to keep God’s Word ‘ ever with you’.
Remember, though,
“Knowledge” is not the same as “Wisdom”. True wisdom comes from allowing God to CHANGE our lives through His Word.
