$ 90 .00 per person, provided registration forms and payments are received by or postmarked no

Opening & Closing sessions and does not include food functions.
Registration will be conducted on Friday, November 19th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the
Garden Court, located on the second floor. In an effort to eliminate duplicate name tags,
students who are members of multiple organizations should only be listed on the roster of the
primary organization in which they are involved. Depending upon availability, students may
receive ribbons for other organizational affiliations. These ribbons should be requested after
4:00p.m., Friday November 19th.
Conference Dress Code
Business attire is required for all General and Leadership Sessions. However, for the Closing
session on Sunday morning, students can wear organizational polo shirts with either blue, black
or khaki pants or skirts. (No jeans or flip flops)
Leadership Sessions
The Georgia Fall Leadership Conference Planning Committee has put together a series of
interesting and informative sessions. For the Saturday Leadership sessions, students are
encouraged to arrive early. Some of the rooms are small; therefore, sessions will be closed once
capacity is reached.
Certificate of Participation
Students will receive a star for each Leadership session they attend on Saturday November 20th.
Those students who receive at least four (4) stars and also complete the Conference Evaluation
form will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
Student Organizational Meetings
Time has been allotted on Friday afternoon and on Sunday morning for each major Student
organization (Collegiate DECCA; National Technical Honor Society; Phi Beta Lambda;
SkillsUSA and the Statewide Student Leadership Council) to conduct a statewide meeting. All
students should attend their respective organization’s meeting. This is an excellent opportunity
for students to provide input and also to obtain valuable information.
Students who are not affiliated with one of the major organizations will have an opportunity to
attend leadership sessions on Friday afternoon and on Sunday morning.
Friday Night Pizza Party
A night of fun has been planned for you! As is customary, all students are invited to attend the
Friday night Pizza party. This is a casual event; however students must dress appropriately.
Advisors are encouraged to discuss appropriate casual attire with their students.
March of Quarters Mini-Walk
All conference attendees are encouraged to participate in the March of Quarters Mini-Walk on
Saturday November 20th. This is a one (1) mile walk with lots of fun and prizes! All
participants should meet in the hotel lobby at 5:00 p.m. Remember to bring $10.00, preferably in
quarters. The GFLC Walk America shirts will be available on Friday November 19th in the
Registration area for a nominal fee. Students participating in this event will receive one (1) star
towards the four (4) stars needed for the Certificate of Participation. Please join us for this fun
activity!
Toys for Tots Campaign
All Conference attendees are encouraged to bring a toy for the annual SSLC Toys for Tots
Campaign. Toys should be placed in the large bins, available on the main level & in the Garden
Court, labeled Toys for Tots.
Door Prizes
Each technical college is asked to donate two (2) items that will be distributed as door prizes at
the end of each Leadership session and during the Bingo game on Saturday night. All donations
will be collected on Friday November 19th in the Fulton room.
Conference in Review
Would you like to be part of an exciting multi-media presentation? If yes, then the AV team will
be looking for you! Candid shots will be taken during the conference. You can also stop any
member of the AV team and ask them to take your picture. So smile when you see the camera
coming and be ready for your moment of fame during the Closing session!
Safety Information
Advisors, please remind your students not to venture outside of the hotel alone. We suggest they
remove their name badges when leaving the hotel. You are also encouraged to inform your
students that this Conference is a state function; therefore, alcoholic beverages and/or drugs are
