What do all living cells share?
- same method of storing genetic code in dna or rna
o codons of 4 nucleotides
- same method to build proteins
amino acids (about 21) form basis for all proteins
All amino acids in living matter are left-handed
o same translation scheme from codons to amino acids
(3 codons specify a single amino acid)
o all proteins are strings of amino acids
o all proteins are built up using the same construction scheme
(t-rna, transcriptase, etc.)
- same method using atp to store energy

=> I think the progression here, and in day 5 are not necessarily intended to state the order of
creation, but in fact that's pretty much what they are.

In my view most legitimate "evolution" takes place at the genetic expression level. Positive
effects of random change in the genetic code are rare.
Problem is: generally need to have a "package" of genes working together in subtle ways.
