a. applications for events planned in 2010 (1 Jan-31 Dec. 2010) are not due until fall
2009.
2. Graduate School: President’s Interdisciplinary Conference Series
a. funding transferred to Grad School in 2007
b. rolling deadline
c. focus on extended interdisciplinary collaborations with non-UM people
d. sustainable beyond event
3. Imagine Fund: Special Events Grant Program
a. March 2, 2009
b. proposals for events occurring at least 6 months from the application deadline
c. grants range between $5,000-$15,000
Groups
1. Graduate School: Funding for Interdisciplinary Graduate Groups
a. first establish group, then request funding
b. rolling application deadline
c. must include work with graduate students
d. awards are expected to range from $2,500 to $7,000
2. Institute for Advanced Study: Research and Creative Collaboratives
a. February 2, 2009
b. research budget of up to $15,000 for one year
c. can bring in outside people
3. Institute for Global Studies: Intellectual Collectives on Global Studies
a. rolling application deadline
b. up to $8,000 per year for events and activities over two years

i. travel support
ii. preliminary development of collaborative teams or networks
