of 9th September with one change, and then their posting to the practice website.
Open Meeting
The group reviewed the meeting and recommended (in no particular order) as follows
Thanks to Jean and Vera for refreshments and organising the venue, Ian for
“sponsorship”, Dave for chairing, and Chris for talking about Healthwatch.
Refreshments on arrival
Venue to be in one of the villages
Advertising to be more strategic
All practice staff to be encouraged to attend
Purpose of meeting to be clearer
To include an information/educational role for patients
Parish Councils to be approached to advise on a solution to the transport issue
Practice Issues
The CQC report is awaited. The practice is advertising for an apprentice, the third. Flu
vaccination programme is underway.
Friends and Family Test
Anne Grieve reported small numbers completing the survey and it was agreed to consider
the results next meeting.
Survey
The group agreed question 17 be included with health assistant being added to the list,
with Ian and Barry to liaise with Anne to implement.
Patient Group Membership
The group had wide ranging discussion on PPG role and membership, in particular noting
the purpose of the group needs updating, a chair is required and that the membership
needs refreshing. It was agreed:
To ask Parish Councils for their view on what the PPG should do (Dave and Vera)
And to enquire similarly from the practice staff meeting (Mary and Anne)
To recruit via poster in both surgeries (Anne)
To appoint a new chair at next meeting.
Next Meeting - agreed for 6.30pm 9th November at Allendale.
Progress at 28th September on work plan 2015
